Verification / three details to match

Developer, official icon
and app ID

Use the name to find the app, then match these three details to confirm it.

Developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited
Official icon Rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background
App ID 932747118

On the App Store product page, check the developer or seller information and confirm the full name Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely on shortened text in search results, or confirm a purchase just because the title includes Shadowrocket. Other apps may have similar names or keywords, so open the product details before deciding.

Next, check the official icon: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the official icon in this site’s header. The icon is a clue, not proof on its own. Similar artwork, colors or names can’t replace checking the developer. Compare the icon and developer together to avoid mistaking a search thumbnail for the right app.

Finally, check the app ID in the product page URL. Shadowrocket’s app ID is 932747118, and the end of the link should read id932747118. The title’s display format may vary by storefront, but the app ID identifies the same product. All three details should match. If any don’t, stop before paying and return to the correct product page to verify it.

Ratings, search rankings, screenshot counts and promotional text aren’t used here to verify an app’s identity. Check the price, compatibility and update history only after confirming the app. This site explains how to verify the listing; the App Store handles purchases and orders. Information on a regular web page isn’t proof that a purchase has been completed.

Device / iPhone

First launch after purchase

Complete the purchase through the system first, then prepare your existing subscription or server details.

On your iPhone, verify the app on the App Store, purchase it at the price shown and complete any required authentication. After the transaction is complete, wait for installation to finish, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. Before buying, check compatibility on your device instead of assuming it’s compatible just because the product page opens on another device.

If the App Store shows that the download is waiting, check available storage, your network connection and whether your account needs attention. If the app icon has appeared but shows a pending download, installation hasn’t finished yet; this doesn’t mean the app’s connection is failing. Let the App Store finish installing the app before setting up a subscription or connection in Shadowrocket.

What VPN configuration permission means

When you first enable a connection, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This allows Shadowrocket to use the system network extension to handle the connection; it isn’t another app purchase. Confirm that the prompt was triggered by an action you just took in Shadowrocket, read the system message, then use your device passcode or biometrics if needed to authorize it. If permission hasn’t been granted, resolve the system prompt first; repeatedly changing server settings won’t replace this step.

After opening the app, import a subscription you already have or enter your own server details. Before using options such as Add Server or Subscribe, make sure your information is complete, especially the address, port and authentication details. Buying the app doesn’t fill these in automatically. For first-time setup, follow the setup guide to import your details, choose Global Routing and test the connection. There’s no need to change several advanced settings at once.

The VPN status indicator shows the system connection status; it doesn’t confirm that a particular request used the intended policy. After connecting, check the selected server, Global Routing and the actual result. To pinpoint a problem, track “App Store installation complete,” “system authorization complete” and “existing service connects” separately. This helps keep purchase issues distinct from connection issues.

Device / iPad

Use the same purchase account
on iPhone and iPad

Purchase history and local settings are separate. Check each one.

The iPhone and iPad versions of Shadowrocket are included in the same purchase. After buying it on iPhone, sign in to the iPad App Store with the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then find Shadowrocket under Purchased to download it again. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. If the iPad still shows a price, check the account under Media & Purchases and then confirm the original order before paying again.

The iPad has a different amount of screen space than the iPhone, so layouts, list widths and where options appear may vary. Look for the relevant functions using interface labels such as Home, Add Server and Config. Follow what the app currently displays; buttons don’t have to appear in exactly the same place on both devices.

Using the same purchase on two devices doesn’t mean subscriptions, server lists and Config automatically sync. After installation, check what data is already there before restoring a backup or importing your existing details. If you use your own subscription, confirm its device-use terms and avoid adding the same entry repeatedly. To test a connection, start with an entry whose settings you’ve verified. This can help distinguish an import issue from differences in the device’s network.

App Store details for other Apple devices

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. Check the listing in the App Store on your device to see if the app is available; refer to the App Store listing for universal purchase availability and system requirements. The first-connection steps on this page are for iPhone and iPad. Don’t assume that the steps or purchase terms for other devices apply to them.

Purchased / Restore

Restore the app on a new device
then check your local data

Find the original purchase first, then restore your subscription and Config.

After changing devices, erasing one or reinstalling the app, open the App Store and go to Account → Purchased. Find Shadowrocket and download it again. On some system versions, the list may appear under “Apps” or “My Apps”; look for the purchase history on the account you’re using. With the Apple ID used for the original purchase, you can usually download the app again without paying.

If the app isn’t in your purchased list, first check that you’re signed in with the account used to buy it. Then review your purchase history and check whether the app was hidden. Restoring a purchase and buying again are different actions. If the listing still shows a price but you’re sure you have an order, first check which account made the purchase, the storefront status and the app’s identity. Don’t assume the current account owns the purchase just because you remember installing the app before.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore all your data

The App Store restores the app purchase; subscription URLs, manually entered server details and Config are separate data. After installing on a new device, first check whether these items were restored from a system backup. If the list is empty, import your own subscription or server details. If entries are already there, check their contents and update status before making changes so you don’t overwrite settings you still need.

Before moving to a new device, save your configuration securely and remember that subscription URLs may contain credentials. Don’t publish a full URL, QR code or authentication details. After restoring on the new device, confirm the selected server, Global Routing, system authorization and On Demand settings before testing the connection. Review automatic connection conditions as well; seeing a server in the list doesn’t mean migration is complete.

If you plan to use Family Sharing, check the App Store listing and the terms for your current family group first. Whether family members can use the purchase depends on the listing and what their accounts show. Using the same purchase account on your own devices is different from family members using their own accounts; don’t assume that a result for one situation applies to the other.

Costs / what’s included

One-time app purchase
covers the client

Check the app price, service costs and device compatibility separately.

Shadowrocket is a commercial app with a one-time purchase, not a monthly app subscription. The US reference price is $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store listing for the current price, taxes and final amount charged. The reference price isn’t a guarantee of what you’ll pay at any time or in any region.

Buying the app gives you the right to use the client. The server address, authentication details, subscription validity and service availability required to connect depend on the service information you already have. After paying through the App Store, you’ll still need to provide your own details. An expired subscription, invalid credentials or temporarily unreachable server doesn’t mean you need to buy the app again.

If you use an existing subscription, check its original address and required details with your service provider. An app purchase receipt doesn’t activate a service. To troubleshoot, first check whether the subscription can update, then verify the server settings and Connectivity Test results. The test shows the current connection status; it doesn’t change your app purchase history or verify whether your existing service is valid.

App updates and purchase history

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Use your device’s automatic update settings or check for available updates in the store account. Refer to the current product page and in-app information for update details. For payment, billing or order status issues, use the relevant process from your App Store purchase history, not the server editing screen in Shadowrocket.

After purchasing, keep your order record and note which account you used. Manage your connection settings separately according to your needs. Treating purchase history, subscription details and Config as separate items makes it easier to tell whether something missing after a device change is the app, its settings or system authorization—and avoids trying to fix a non-payment issue by paying again.

Can’t find Shadowrocket in the App Store? What to check first

First, check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. The app isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. Your device language and physical location don’t determine which storefront you see. Then check Content & Privacy Restrictions in Screen Time, and use app ID 932747118 on the product page to verify the app.

The product page opens, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?

Check the App Store message to determine whether payment is incomplete, your account needs attention, your device is incompatible, or the download is pending. Check your payment status, available storage and network connection. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. If the order status is unclear, check your purchase history before trying to buy again.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items. You can usually download it again without paying. If the listing still shows a price, check the account and purchase history first. After restoring the app, confirm that your subscription, server details and Config are restored too.

I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone. Can I install it on iPad too?

Shadowrocket works on both iPhone and iPad. With the same Apple ID used for the purchase, you can download it again from Purchased in the iPad App Store. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. A shared purchase history doesn’t mean subscriptions and Config automatically sync between devices.

Where can I get Shadowrocket for Mac, Apple TV or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. Check the listing in the App Store on your device; refer to it for universal purchase availability and system requirements.

The app opens in English. How should I follow the instructions?

This official manual keeps interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Subscribe, Config and Global Routing in English. Follow the setup guide to import your own subscription, then check Config, Proxy and Direct under Global Routing and test the connection. The interface language doesn’t establish whether an app is genuine. Check the developer, official icon and app ID.
